No hate crime motive / Inget hatbrottsmotiv i nuläget
See an English version below: Tillståndet är stabilt för den judiska kvinna som utsattes för ett morförsök i form av ett knivdåd i morse i Helsingborg. Under tisdagen hölls möten mellan Judiska Centralrådet, de judiska församlingarna i Nordvästra Skåne och Malmö, Polisen och Helsingborgs stad. Polisen kunde meddela att spaningsinsatserna är inriktade på att gripa en gärningsman som är anhållen i sin frånvaro. Polisen kunde också meddela att det i nuläget inte går att uttala sig om det finns ett hatbrottsmotiv. Kvinnan, som är i 60-årsåldern, är styrelsemedlem i Judiska Församlingen i Nordvästra Skåne.

ENGLISH: The Jewish woman who suffered a murderous stabbing attack on Tuesday morning in Helsingborg is in a stable condition. The Helsingborg police are now searching a particular suspect who has been arrested in his absence. As of now, the police cannot establish a hate crime motive behind the stabbing. The head of the council of Jewish communities in Sweden together with the leadership of the Jewish communities of Helsingborg and Malmö has met with the Police in Helsingborg and security officials at the city of Helsingborg aiming to coordinate and cooperate when it comes to information and security measures. The Jewish community of Malmö as well as the council of Jewish communities in Sweden has also reached out and offered support to both the victim’s family as well as the small Jewish community of Helsingborg.
